Meet The Core Personnel
Ashawn Marie Korb
OWNER/FOUNDER
Moving to Colorado in 2004 and experiencing the healthy lifestyle and progressive community a unique place like Boulder promotes, easily persuaded me to make Colorado my home. Like many people who live and thrive in Boulder, it is rare a day goes by when I am not in awe of the beauty surrounding me and thankful for the community I share it with.
Zen Ohm, Inc., founded in 2008, is my effort to bring attention and service to others. Steady growth has allowed for new personnel to join and study a new way of working and being with this organization. To offer a service that prides itself on perfection and being ecologically aware is only half of my effort and attention; developing self-awareness and presence is the more challenging other half. This focused energy reflects in my cleaning, you feel your home cared for and can see the thoroughness of my effort. Cleaning in this way is truly an art, and I love directly sharing this art in people’s most personal cherished space… their home.

My journey has taken me from my birthplace on the High Plains, to the Sangre de Cristo Mountains for college and now to the base of the Flat Irons. I am a Colorado native, fortunate to know and live in such a vibrant place.
The past four years I have been completing my bachelors degree and these past four years I have found myself to be two separate people at once: the fast-paced, stress driven student, and the calm, knowing artist’s wife. The move to Boulder in January has inspired me to refocus my life to one of wholeness. I am embarking on a journey of self-awareness and am glad to be a part of an organization with the same philosophies as me.
The practice of tranquil cleaning is allowing me to study my distracted self and evolve my inner awareness. I am excited to be on such a deep and fulfilling journey pursuing the art of Zen Cleaning and am thankful for the opportunity to share this with my community.

I’ve spent most of my life in the beautiful state of Michigan where I was surrounded by a plethora of tranquil forests, beautiful beaches, and amazing friends and family. I am a graduate of Grand Valley State University; where I earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. After graduating, A series of life events lead me to the breathtaking city of Boulder. I was enticed by Boulder’s sublime scenery, sustainable practices, and eclectic culture. I am on a journey of discovering a successful way of linking my education in business with my passion for vegetarianism, sustainable practices, local/organic living, and overall peacefulness. I have always enjoyed expressing myself in artistic ways – I started drawing and painting at a young age. In the most recent years I have expanded my creativity into the worlds of crocheting, sewing and jewelry making. I am always excited to learn new trades, techniques, and ways of becoming more self-sustaining. Other than “crafting” I typically spend my free time tending to my vegetable garden, learning about environmental issues, grabbing a micro-brew with close friends, and listening to music. Working with Zen Ohm, I hope to bring peace into the lives of others, while always keeping in mind the importance of the environment, and the impact we as humans have upon it. I am a true believer that everything in life happens for a reason, I’m immensely excited to see where the rest of my journey takes me.

Appreciating beauty in nature is one of the most important things the world has to offer. Growing up in a small town in central Wisconsin has allowed for my love for the natural world to be nourished.
Moving to Boulder, Colorado has continued the growth of my love. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh with a degree in Environmental Studies; a program that helped me realize the
complexity of the biological sphere that we live in. Spending much time traveling around the United States and beyond, I feel as though Boulder encompasses many things that I hold dear to myself. For
activities, I enjoy spending time engaged in yoga and hiking, as well as gardening and seeing live music. I also spend time reading enticing books and sipping on a hot cup of tea. Belonging to the Zen
Ohm team has brought a wonderful family into my life, the practice of allowing peace in, and bringing that calmness into the homes of others. I am happy to share this with the Boulder community.

Originally, I am from Massachusetts. When I graduated high school, I knew that I would go to college but needed more life experience to understand where I was trying to get to. I volunteered and
traveled and learned a lot. During this educational intermission, I discovered a passion for the environment and began to understand how important working for and with the community was to me. I
came to Boulder with not one single preconception; with only the spectrum of environmental programs offered at CU calling me here. When I arrived, I was swept away with the beauty and culture of
this town.My education with CU’s Environmental Design program for architecture broadened my environmental concerns and social understandings. As an employee of Zen Ohm, I am fortunate to be part of a
mindful, conscious company whose work is meticulous, inclusive and healthy. I find myself learning life techniques and peace through meditation and discussion.
